This is the harder part of the setup so please bear with us.  Once this is done, you won't have to worry about it again.

This is where we're going to determine what and how information is pulled FROM your QuickBooks account INTO your clickBACON account.  After connecting, you'll need to match up your QuickBooks accounts/categories to their equivalent in BACON.

While we'll focus on showing you how to match a sales category here, this applies to labor and expenses as well.

Before going through the guide, we do have an Auto-Match feature. This will do this part of the QuickBooks integration setup automatically for you with a few clicks:

If the Auto-Match feature isn't working for you or if you want to do this setup manually, proceed through the guide.

After successfully connecting your QuickBooks account, you'll be redirected to the Account Matching Page where you'll see a list of your QuickBooks categories.

Note: We are using our QuickBooks test account so what's listed here will be different for every user.

If you aren't automatically brought to the mapping page, you need to make adjustments or you just want to see how things are mapped out, you can find this page by clicking on the gear icon in the top right of the page, then choose SETTINGS.  Click on the Integrations tab and then click on the MAP button.

Choose where your Food, Beer or Beverage Sales is saved. In our QuickBooks test account, it's located in 'Income'. Click on the arrow to display the accounts.

Next you'll need to choose the clickBACON category. Since we're focusing on our Sales in this guide, choose this option.

Note: Anything you do not match on this page will not be saved in clickBACON

Then we'll need to select which clickBACON account to match this to. You will repeat these steps for all your categories.

IMPORTANT! If you have additional accounts/categories in QuickBooks that don't exist in BACON you'll need to add them to clickBACON before matching.

Once you have finished matching all of your accounts and categories, click the UPDATE button at the top of the page.

Now you can select which month's data you want to save to clickBACON. Click the back arrow next to Map Accounts.

Click the green Update from QuickBooks button.

You can choose to update a full year or a specific month.

Your chosen priority will also be noted.  If QuickBooks is a priority and there is data for those dates inside clickBACON it will be overwritten by what is in QuickBooks.  If there is no data in QuickBooks for the date you are importing, it will erase any data that appears in clickBACON.  You can change this at any time.

Note:  If you skip this final step, the system will automatically import your QuickBooks data in the background the next time you log into the app.
